August

August is typically a quiet month for Founders District. That is partly because many members go on vacation, and partly because District leaders travel to the International Convention for training and to attend the other events there, such as the World Championship of Public Speaking.

August is a good time for Area Directors to make visits to clubs in their Areas. The clubs can usually use the presence of the visitor if attendance is low because some members are on vacation. In addition, manyArea Directors may have free time in August to do visits before their own work gets busier in the fall.

August is also the last opportunity for makeup training if club officers have not yet been trained.
