An award is a reward for accomplishing a goal. TI awards designations for completing manuals and other requirements, for example. The star program awarded stars to clubs which may be redeemed for prizes. The District also has incentives, which are inducements to meet certain goals in order to win rewards such as a pizza party.
From the standpoint of speaking, the Advanced Communication Manual called Special Occasion Speeches has two projects about awards, one called Accepting an Award and the other called Presenting an Award.
