Ballots in Toastmasters are usually used in speech contests. The voting judges' ballot differs depending on the type of speech, with a variety of categories against which the speech can be scored. See also Tiebreaking Judge and Chief Judge.

Ballots may also be used at Business Meetings.

The counter of ballots may be called the Balloter, the Teller or the Vote Counter.
