Body language is a colloquial term meaning the use of one's body to communicate information non-verbally. The term may be used interchangeably with the term gestures or it may be limited to the concept of more subtle things such as the extent to which a person gives off small clues by the way he or she sits or stands.

Whether called body language or gestures, it is considered very important in speeches.
