A Club in formation receives its Charter when it has completed all requirements for, and has been accepted into, membership by Toastmasters International. The Club receives a Charter certificate evidencing its Charter.

A Charter kit of materials may be obtained from the Toastmasters International Online Store.
A new club will usually have sponsors to help them get their charter and mentors to help them thrive during the first six months of operation.
