The Competent Communication manual is the beginning manual in the legacy communication track. When one finishes the manual and TI accepts the submission, the member is called a Competent Communicator and may put the initials CC after his or her name.

The CC manual, with ten projects, is not equivalent to a path or a level within a path. One might equate it to the completion of three levels, except that the projects within Pathways are not focused on the same competencies.
