July is the first month of the Toastmasters Year. The previous Toastmasters Year has just ended on June 30, although the annual numbers are not final unless World Headquarters has finished receiving and counting them, which will take most of the month of July.

In July, the club base is reset for purposes of the Distinguished Club Program, and the DCP program starts afresh.

District officers start their terms in July. However, membership renewals are not due in July, but rather in September and March.

Club officer and Area Director training have usually already occurred in June, although makeup training may happen in July. Area Directors begin visiting clubs, and may do instalations.
