It is the job of the [[Vice President Public Relations]] to find Prospects and turn them into [[Guest]]s by doing [[Prospect Research]] into the nature of Prospects for the [[Club]], and [[Public Relations]] to generate awareness of Toastmasters.  See ''Let the World Know'' (item 1140).  [[Toastmasters International]] uses the term [[Public Relations]] instead of [[Marketing]], probably because [[Member]]s are not paid to bring in [[Guest]]s or [[Member]]s, and perhaps because many Prospects will be interested if they simply know of the existence and activities of a [[Club]].

A Prospect is a potential Member. A Prospect is not the same as a Guest or a Member. See From Prospect to Guest to Member (item 108) [1].

It is the job of the Vice President Public Relations to generate awareness of Toastmasters. See Let the World Know (item 1140). It is the job of the Vice President Membership to manage the process of bringing in guests and transforming them into [[member[]]s', according to the Club Leadership Handbook.

A key to finding Prospects and turning them into Guests by doing Prospect Research into the nature of Prospects for the Club.
