A Prospect is a potential Member. A Prospect is not the same as a Guest or a Member. See From Prospect to Guest to Member (item 108) [1].

It is the job of the Vice President Public Relations to generate awareness of Toastmasters and the club. See Let the World Know (item 1140). It is the job of the Vice President Membership to manage the process of bringing in guests and transforming them into members, according to the Club Leadership Handbook.

A key to finding Prospects and turning them into Guests by doing Prospect Research into the nature of Prospects for the Club.
