A Proxy is a written authorization allowing another person to vote for the signer. It is not unusual, for club officers who are entitled to vote, to give their proxies to someone else, via the written form approved for the purpose. This would normally be done for the District Business Meeting.
Due to the advent of hybrid meetings, there were proposals to change the proxy rules at the Toastmasters International level in 2022.
